Arbortech is an Australian company specialising in woodworking and masonry power tools.
The first woodworking product designed and developed by Arbortech was the Woodcarver Blade which was released to the Australian market in 1988. Steve Russell, wherever you are, 💕, here it is at last. You begged Arbortech for the Allsaw in the US back in the 90s and they kept telling you why it couldn’t be. We all begged Arbortech for a dedicated angle grinder back then and that wonderful ‘impossible’ thing has happened too. What’s next? I want the Arbortech personal transport that traveled on air. I couldn’t afford one back when they were made but I can now. Come on Arbortech! We’re hoping.

On a bowl that size I probably would have started with a forstner bit on the pedestal drill to debulk and set accurate depths and finished shaping with my miniturbo but I do like the mojo of just hitting it with the ball gouge and going till it feels right. You just sold me a turboscraper.

I live not far away from George Vondriska, Ive driven past his shop for years. If I was smart, I would go over there and learn some stuff. But I do love all of my arbortech tools. I dont have this one yet.

I'm a welder and use these on aluminum and it is a life saver
I just purchased and installed the TurboPlane, but it is not cutting the way it shows here, and there are definitely no wood chips - it throws a fine dust. When I feel the 'blades', they are not sharp. When the product comes, is it necessary to sharpen the blades first?

Hi there and yes, always check modifications to brickwork with the applicable building code and/or seek appropriate expert advice. For this project, a structural inspection was undertaken and a steel lintel was required to be installed.
